New Review Double Tree by Hilton – Sao Paulo (Itaim)

Booking

Brazil was my destination as part of an exciting flight deal, and in addition to Rio de Janeiro I also wanted to see something of Sao Paulo.

After the Hilton and Inter Continental in Sao Paulo, I wanted to see another hotel in the Itaim district.

Location

The location is in the Itaim district, which is safe and offers opportunities to go out. GRU airport is about an hour away, but depending on the time of day it can take three hours.

Check In

The check-in in the evening went smoothly, but I was surprised at how cold the staff were, which is something I’m not used to in Brazil.

Room

The first impression of the room is quite good. The lighting is important when you come home at night. On the left is the bathroom with WC and shower. As usual, the most necessary care products (shower gel and shampoo) are available.

In the room itself, in addition to the spacious bed, there is also seating.

The TV with the relevant channels is easily visible from the bed. As usual, there is a safe, ironing board, coffee machine and a small selection of snacks.

Restaurant

Breakfast is available as a buffet and offers the necessary dishes.

Amenities

The hotel has a fitness center next to the rooftop pool, which offers everything you need for a workout and a nice view. I couldn’t test the rooftop pool due to the bad weather. However, for spotters and airplane fans, you can see the take-offs and approaches to Sao Paulo’s city airport.

Check Out

The check-out was again uncomplicated and I took an Uber to GRU airport, where I then boarded my flight home.

Conclusion

Unfortunately, the hotel shows its age and there are alternatives in the city.
