New Review -Lufthansa First Class Wining and Dining New York (JFK)

Introduction

For First Class travelers and HON members of the Lufthansa Group, you are not only greeted in Terminal 1 in a very friendly manner and checked in. The service continues with a member of staff accompanying you to the lounge. This even includes getting a fast track through security via another lounge (VIP ONE Lounge). This really saves a lot of time and what is perhaps even more interesting – everyone who has access to the VIP ONE Lounge (for example with a PriorityPass) can use this free service. You go into the lounge and then there is a separate door through which you are as good as in front of the security check.

Location and access

As mentioned, access authorization is checked beforehand and you are escorted into the lounge. I cannot rate this service highly enough, because it was absolutely great. At check-in there is also a list of First Class / HON members which is then always compared with each other (a bit like in Vienna if you ask me).

Amenities

When you enter the lounge, there is some seating to the left and a selection of drinks where you can help yourself.

If you keep walking, there is an aisle here with a very appealing buffet.

Further back is the restaurant area with a few tables (and a small buffet). Here, however, you will be served at your table.

I naturally ordered something for the blog and was really impressed with the quality. Maybe it doesn’t look so good in the pictures, but the quality was really good.

Incidentally, there is no toilet here, so you have to go down to the Senator Lounge. However, make sure that you take the right door back up afterwards as the other machine closes and you will have to ask for access again shortly afterwards.

Conclusion

Especially if you prefer to sleep on the rather short flight to Europe, this lounge offers you a good opportunity to eat/drink something in peace before the flight and get on the plane quite full. I really liked the friendly service here.
