New Review – Swiss HON / First Class LouFnge Airport Geneva (GVA)

Location and access

For details on the location and access, I refer to my previous review. The only change is that the lounge is now located next to the Swiss Senator Lounge. To find it, simply turn left upon entering. This location is convenient for travelers with First Class tickets (or HON Members) , as it’s easily accessible from the main airport area.

Food and Drinks

The selection of drinks is good considering the size of the lounge. However, whether it truly lives up to First Class standards is debatable. The nearby Senator Lounge offered more options in some respects, which might be worth considering for travelers looking for a broader range of beverages.

ur flight. However, the variety might be limited compared to what you’d expect in a larger lounge.

You’re proactively asked if you need anything, provided someone from the service team is present. Unfortunately, there’s no printed menu for food, which I find disappointing. In a First Class lounge, having a menu can enhance the dining experience by allowing guests to browse options at their leisure. The lounge doesn’t have many seating options, but at least the power outlets are never far away, which is thoughtful and convenient for travelers who need to charge their devices.

A selection of dishes is prepared fresh, and as far as I remember, the options included:

  • Ricotta Ravioli
  • Club Sandwich
  • Pasta with Salmon
  • Mushroom Risotto
  • Caesar Salad

These dishes are well-prepared and offer a satisfying meal before yo

Amenities

This section is brief because there aren’t many amenities. If you want to mention something, it could be the service, where they check your documents in the lounge, eliminating the need to queue at the gate for a stamp. This is a convenient feature that saves time and adds to the overall efficiency of your travel experience.

There are no showers or toilets in the lounge. You need to leave the lounge and find the airport’s facilities, which isn’t far but doesn’t feel very First Class. I can understand this limitation given the restricted space and the fact that there aren’t many First Class flights from Geneva. For travelers who value having these amenities within the lounge, this might be a drawback.

Service

I want to explicitly praise the service, as it truly is on a First Class level. I was proactively asked if I wanted to switch to an earlier flight or if I needed help with my luggage issues. It’s worth noting that I was often alone in the lounge, so I understand why a staff member wasn’t constantly assigned to me. However, the staff’s attentiveness and willingness to assist made a significant difference in my experience.

When I needed something printed, they escorted me to the Swiss Business Lounge, which I found to be a very kind gesture. This level of service demonstrates that the staff are willing to go the extra mile to ensure guests have a smooth and enjoyable experience.

Conclusion

Small but fine. That’s how Swiss describes the lounge itself (still with an incorrect picture). The service once again makes the difference, but otherwise, the lounge doesn’t fully convince me as a First Class lounge. While it offers a pleasant experience, it lacks the comprehensive amenities and extensive menu options typically expected in a First Class setting. However, the attentive service and convenient location make it a solid choice for those with First Class tickets from Geneva. For travelers who prioritize service over extensive amenities, this lounge is a good option.
