New Review – Park Inn by Radisson Frankfurt Airport (FRA)

Booking and location

Thanks to the maximum discount thanks to the VIP status, I first tried it as usual via the app. But then I just tried to see if there was a cashback promotion – and lo and behold, I only paid EUR 62.52 via the homepage as normal and there’s another 10% back at some point.

The location is one of those things. You can take the S9 one stop, or take a taxi/Uber. Unfortunately, this hotel does not offer a hotel shuttle. Therefore, you should also take this into account when booking.

Check In

A bit bumpy and you got the impression that the employee was tired after a long day at work. I just accepted it and then quickly disappeared with my room card.

Room

I already knew what to expect here. When you enter the room, there is a compact bathroom with a shower on the right-hand side.

There is a place to leave your luggage on the left.

The bed naturally takes up most of the room. There are sockets next to the bed so that you can charge your devices without any problems.

There is also an armchair and a small table – plus two bottles of water and a small welcome gift.

Of course, there is also a large TV and the possibility to sit and work next to it. You can make yourself a coffee with the kettle, the minibar is available but not filled.

Amenities

There is not so much to say. There is an area where you can buy small items opposite the reception. Next to it is a small drinks station where you can help yourself to free fruit water. Personally, I like this very much.

There is also a bar which is open in the afternoon.

Thanks to the Radisson VIP status, I was also able to have breakfast for free. Strangely enough, there was no check on who was entitled to this. Breakfast times are Monday to Sunday from 6:30 am to 10:00 am.

It has a choice of a few hot dishes, plus a station with cold cuts, bread, muesli etc. That’s the best way I could describe it. However, nobody dared to try the bananas as they were already very, very ripe.

You can help yourself to the drinks (coffee, tea, juices). However, the juices that worked were very sweet.

Check Out

Much friendlier than the check-in, I was able to stay an hour longer in the room and the bill was corrected. By default, 2 people are always specified and you pay 2 euros/night each. But since I was alone, they were kind enough to correct this.

Conclusion

For the price and to spend a night close to the airport it was absolutely okay. If you have the appropriate status, you can also have breakfast for free and get a good start to the day. What is important is that you have to plan a little time and money for the journey to the hotel. You shouldn’t expect much luxury either.
