New Review – The Lounge Münster Osnabrück Airport (FMO)

Location and Access

Opposite Gate C 13 at Münster Osnabrück Airport is “The Lounge” which is currently open daily from 05:00 – 23:00. ATTENTION: the security check at the airport only opens 90 minutes before the respective departure, so the opening hours of the lounge should be taken with a pinch of salt.

Access is by invitation from the airline (especially as more vacation flights depart from here) or as a Miles and More member with Senator or HON status. The lounge is also part of the PriorityPass network and you can also book entry with the lounge operator https://globalloungenetwork.com

Amenities

The layout of the lounge is explained quite simply. Next to the reception is a small bar with selected alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks.

On one side you have the food (in this case we had breakfast with bread rolls, pastries, croissants and cold cuts) and on the other side the seating. They have also thought about the favorite topic of power sockets – as long as you sit on the window side facing the terminal.

Many people just want some peace and quiet and a snack or drink. These needs are covered here in the lounge. The selection of (alcoholic) drinks comes close to the Lufthansa business lounges, which is quite a compliment.

Toilets are also available in the lounge.

Conclusion

The lounge is a good and quiet place to spend time before the flight. The selection of drinks is very good and the food is sufficient for a small breakfast. The fact that you can enter the security area a maximum of 90 minutes before departure makes the question of whether you should arrive earlier for the lounge unnecessary. For such a small airport, however, the availability of a lounge is very positive.
