New Review – Renaissance Warsaw Airport Hotel (WAW)

Location and Booking

The booking was made directly with Marriott via the cashback page. In terms of location, the Renaissance Hotel is extremely close to the airport. You only have to go to the departure level and then cross the street. The black complex is really hard to miss and is the first hotel on the left as you drive to the airport.

Check In

A nice upgrade to a junior suite was already on the cards before check-in. As always, I had booked the cheapest room. During check-in, they thanked me for my loyalty to Marriott and briefly explained the hotel’s facilities and opening hours. They only left out the lounge, which I thought was a bit of a shame.

There is also a small business center and a bar in the lobby of the hotel.

Room

It was room 221 and now let’s take a look at it in detail.

First the entrance area, on the right side is the bathroom, on the left side is a small but cozy sitting area with a stocked minibar, coffee machine etc..

A gift from the house was also waiting for me, as always a very nice gesture.

The bathroom had everything you need, and dispensers with shampoo etc are also available in this hotel….

The seating area then looked like this:

And of course you also want to sleep, so here are the pictures of the sleeping area in the Junior Suite. What I always like is when there is also water and a chair – as well as power sockets. Everything was very well implemented and fulfilled.

The only point of criticism would probably be the chair, you can certainly sit here for a while but working for a really long time is not ideal.

It should also be noted that the wifi worked extremely well and was very fast.

Amenities

Breakfast is served in the Challenge 32 restaurant. The selection was very good and the staff were friendly. You could also order egg dishes as desired.

Lounge / Club

The Renaissance also has a lounge (or here called a club) and offers drinks and snacks throughout the day. Unfortunately, there were no snacks during my stay here, but this was probably a one-off exception. That’s why there are no pictures of it.

In any case, the club invites you to linger and with plenty of seating I think it’s really very successful. I’ve sat and spent time in much older and darker lounges.

The hotel also has a pool and a sauna.

And if you want to exercise, you can do so 24/7 in the fitness center. The equipment is modern and there are also water dispensers here.

Check Out

Very friendly and I was also asked if everything was OK or if something could have been done better. I was hardly used to this and found it very nice. The bill was fine and I received it by email shortly after leaving the hotel.

Conclusion

Anyone who has managed to read this far – thank you. The Renaissance Warsaw Airport is really nice and I was delighted with my stay. If the price is okay and you don’t want to go into the city then it’s a very nice alternative. Of course a status with Marriott helps – but what is your opinion?
