New Review Hotel – Hampton by Hilton Budapest City Centre

Location and booking

I chose this hotel, which was very new at the time, because of its good location in the city center. The price was also very good, so I quickly booked directly via the Hilton app.

However, you should be aware that depending on the time of day, it can take around 45 minutes by car from the airport to the hotel.

Check In

It did take a moment here, but this was mainly because there were a lot of new employees. On the other hand, it was a check-in as it is probably written in the handbook. (Salutation, thanks for loyalty, voucher etc).

At Hampton I have the choice between 250 Hilton Points or a bottle of water and a snack. Here I took the 250 points after they confirmed that I had a bottle of water in my room anyway. I was also invited to a free drink, which was a really great gesture.

As is usual at Hampton by Hilton, breakfast is included for all guests. I was also made aware of this and was informed of the breakfast times.

Room

Equipped with the room cards (I somehow always take two as I like to misplace a card), we went up to the room. Here we immediately noticed that it was a new hotel. As soon as you enter the room, the bathroom is on the left-hand side.

In the small corridor there is a cupboard with a kettle, tea/coffee and two water bottles. There is also an iron and a safe here.

The bathroom is new and very bright, it was also very clean. As the pictures suggest, it is rather compact. As always, the soaps etc are available in dispensers. I don’t really want to make friends with it, but there’s probably no going back.

Most of the room is taken up by a comfortable bed. There is also a small chair next to it. I know this differently from other Hamptons and somewhat larger, but it was definitely enough for my purposes. They have also thought of power sockets by the bed, which is actually strange that you still have to mention something like that nowadays, but in some hotels this is still not the case.

Perhaps this small table will catch your eye. It can be rotated and is a clever attempt to replace a real table.

Amenities

As already mentioned, breakfast is always included at Hampton and I have to say that I really liked it here. For me it was definitely a very appealing selection and the quality was also good during my stay.

Breakfast is set up behind reception and you can help yourself.

Near the reception there are also some nice seats with nice sayings.

There is also a rather small gym in the hotel.

Check Out

The check-out was also very friendly and quick, although it was busier at the time. The invoice was correct and was also sent to me immediately by e-mail. As always, the points were in my account the next day.

Conclusion

Everything was just right for me here and the price/performance ratio was very good. The location of the Hampton by Hilton is very good and I felt very comfortable. I would be happy to come back again if the opportunity arises.
