New Review – Hampton by Hilton Warsaw Airport (WAW)

Bookingand location At Warsaw Airport there is plenty of choice between Marriott and Hilton. This time we opted for the Hampton by Hilton Warsaw Airport for our short stay. As always, we booked directly with Hilton, even though the benefits at the hotel were only the points and a snack. You can reach the hotel with a shuttle that departs from in front of the Renaissance every 30 minutes. It’s strictly first come, first serve, so we were lucky to get a seat on the shuttle. Unfortunately, it was also…

New Review – Renaissance Warsaw Airport Hotel (WAW)

Location and Booking The booking was made directly with Marriott via the cashback page. In terms of location, the Renaissance Hotel is extremely close to the airport. You only have to go to the departure level and then cross the street. The black complex is really hard to miss and is the first hotel on the left as you drive to the airport. Check In A nice upgrade to a junior suite was already on the cards before check-in. As always, I had booked the cheapest room. During check-in, they…

New Review – DoubleTree by Hilton Milan Malpensa Solbiate Olona (MXP)

Location and Booking Anyone who knows me knows that I usually prefer to book directly. This time too, I was able to book the DoubleTree quite cheaply directly via the Hilton website. A big advantage of the hotel is certainly that it offers a free shuttle. However, you are also pretty much in the middle of nowhere and you should be aware of that. Check In It was done quite quickly, but somehow I had the impression of being annoyed. Do you know that? A strange start, which I found…

New Review – Marriott Hotel Warschau (WAW)

Location and booking I booked the hotel via the Rakuten cashback site to get a small discount. From the outside, the hotel looks a little dated. But since I wanted to experience something new, I stayed here for one night. I took a Bolt from Warsaw airport for about 20 minutes at a very fair price. You can find out how I liked it in this review. Check In I arrived shortly before the official check-in time, but my room was already ready, which I was very pleased about. I…

New Review – Platinum Wing Helsinki (HEL)

Thanks to a trip with a friend who has BA Gold status (Oneworld Emerald) I was able to visit this beautiful lounge at Helsinki Airport today. Location and Access Both the Business Lounge (review follows) and the Platinum Wing Lounge are located in the non-Schengen area at Gate 52. In addition to the access regulations, the opening hours also differ. While the Business Lounge is open daily from 05:30 – 00:00, the Platinum Wing Lounge is only open from 10:30 to 17:30. You can always find the latest information on…

New Review – DoubleTree by Hilton Milan (MXP)

After a review of the DoubleTree by Hilton at Milan Malpensa Airport (which you can find here), here is a review of the second DoubleTree in Milan. Location and booking As already mentioned, this hotel is located in Milan itself, Via Ludovico di Breme, 77, 20156 Milano. However, it should be noted that this hotel is anything but centrally located. The booking was made directly with the hotel due to an event where there was also a discount. From Milan Malpensa airport it is over an hour by public transport.…

New Review – Lufthansa Business Class Amenity Kit (Cooler Bag)

Finally something new again, even if it’s “only” an amenity kit today. But they also have their permanent place here on the blog (and in one or two of my boxes….). Lufthansa has come up with something useful for summer temperatures. This time it’s called the “Cooler Bag” from Porsche Design and even though it’s not particularly big, it can hold two cans or a smaller bottle. Otherwise, the contents are as follows: Content Toothbrush with toothpaste Face cream from L’Occitane Lip balm from L’Occitane Cover for headphones Socks Peppermint…

New Review – Lufthansa Business Class Amenity Kit (I call it a shoe bag) by Porsche Design

After the nice cooler bag, there was another Lufthansa amenity kit (again the Porsche Design). I would most likely describe it as a shoe bag, but I now use it for cables that need a bit more space and shouldn’t fly around in my backpack. Content Conclusion If you get a different amenity kit on the outward and return flight then I’m happy – especially if it’s somehow adapted to the country in question. The quality of the amenity kit is okay, no more or less. The branding always suggests…

New Review – The Lounge Münster Osnabrück Airport (FMO)

Today our guest author Lukas visited this lounge and we wrote an article together – thank you very much! Location and Access Opposite Gate C 13 at Münster Osnabrück Airport is “The Lounge” which is currently open daily from 05:00 – 23:00. ATTENTION: the security check at the airport only opens 90 minutes before the respective departure, so the opening hours of the lounge should be taken with a pinch of salt. Access is by invitation from the airline (especially as more vacation flights depart from here) or as a…

New Review – Hampton Inn by Hilton Tallinn

Location and booking The Hilton hotel group now has a second hotel in Tallinn – I was able to visit this Hampton Inn by Hilton before it opened. Well, this was supposed to be the day of the opening, but there were some minor delays. I was therefore contacted in advance and also rebooked the Hilton I knew (which was also more expensive). Nevertheless, I was allowed to visit the Hampton Inn, which I really appreciated. In terms of location, the Hampton Inn is only 300 meters away from the…
