New Review – Hestia Hotel Kentmanni (TLL)

Booking and location

I was invited for this review, but of course this has no effect on my opinion of this hotel.

The Bolt driver didn’t find the hotel straight away and so I had to walk a little to the hotel. From here it is about a 15 minute walk to the old town.

Check In

The check-in was very quick and after a few moments I already had the room cards in my hand. There is a cozy sitting area opposite the reception.

The hotel has two lifts, one takes you down to the spa area and also to the rooms. However, if you press the wrong button, you come out on the side where the storage rooms for bedding and cleaning products are. This may have happened to me and a nice lady looked at me just as astonished as I looked at her…

The room was on the 5th floor.

Room

Small, fine but good. That’s the best way to describe it. No seriously, it’s big enough, but then again it’s enough for the stay. The bathroom is okay and that’s all I need. Internet is free throughout the hotel, by the way, and you can drink the water in Tallinn without further ado – so there’s no need to ask whether you have extra water in your room. Nevertheless, there is a kettle with tea, which I always find a nice thing.

In the entrance area you have the possibility to put your luggage in a good place, towards the window there is also a TV and a chair to work. In my opinion, this is not the best solution.

The bathroom was in the room on the right-hand side. Here you will also find bathrobes for a possible visit to the spa. Shampoo etc. can be found in small packs, which has become a rarity. Nevertheless, I like it.

The bed was extremely comfortable and there were even enough power sockets.

There was also a minibar, which was well stocked.

Amenities

For the evening hours there is a bar directly behind the reception.

Breakfast was not checked, so I spontaneously thought that everyone had access to breakfast anyway.

I was really impressed by the selection on offer. I’ll let the pictures speak for themselves here, but it felt like there was everything from hot to cold dishes. Overall, I also found the service around it very courteous. If you’re looking for Egg Benedict or something like that, you’ve unfortunately come to the wrong place. However, if you want to be well-fed, you’re in good hands here.

It also has a separate spa area (please be careful which elevator you take…)

Downstairs there is a possibility to change clothes and next to it the obligatory showers which I really appreciated.

In the spa area there are two saunas and a large and very pleasantly warm pool, but you have to be careful with the time in the steam sauna and normal sauna. Both saunas are only open in the late afternoon.

There is also a fitness room with quite modern equipment (unfortunately not very large)

Check Out

Good and easy. Sure that’s a stupid description but it was very quick and that’s what I like.

Conclusion

The price/performance ratio still seems to be right at this hotel. I was pleasantly surprised by the breakfast and no matter which booking platform you use to book it, for me there is really a lot going for it. Of course I can compare it with a Hilton, but without status it is also very expensive there.
