I had been eyeing the LXR Habtoor Palace for some time, alongside the Waldorf in Dubai’s Financial Center. As late spring approaches, Dubai becomes hotter, which means fewer tourists visit, making prices more attractive. I booked a night at the LXR Habtoor Palace, initially opting for a King Deluxe Room. This timing allowed me to enjoy a more relaxed atmosphere and better deals on accommodations.

Location

The hotel is about a half-hour drive from Dubai International Airport (DXB) by taxi or Uber, depending on traffic. The Dubai Mall, with the iconic Burj Khalifa, is approximately a 10-minute taxi ride away. This proximity to major attractions makes the hotel an excellent choice for those looking to explore Dubai’s shopping and dining scene. The nearest Dubai Metro station is about a 20-minute walk, though walking in the intense heat isn’t particularly enjoyable. However, the hotel’s location offers easy access to public transportation for those who prefer it.

Check In

I arrived at the hotel around 3:00 PM local time via Uber. The staff took care of my luggage right at the vehicle, and I was escorted to a very pleasant check-in experience. Instead of the booked King Deluxe Room, I was upgraded to a King Diplomat Suite on the third floor. A late check-out was automatically offered, which I gladly accepted. This level of service set a positive tone for my stay, showcasing the hotel’s commitment to guest satisfaction.

Rooms

Upon entering the suite, I was genuinely surprised by the upgrade. Fresh fruits and a welcome card were already placed on the table in the living room. The suite includes a living room, a separate bedroom, a spacious bathroom with a toilet, shower, and bathtub, and a storage closet. From the entrance, you step directly into the living room, where you’ll find comfortable sofas, a coffee table, and a large TV. The coffee table had a welcome gift, which was delicious.

In the bedroom, there’s a seating area and another large TV. A comfortable desk is also available in the room, making it suitable for those who need to work during their stay.

The bathroom is spacious and elegantly classic, featuring two sinks equipped with the same amenities. The bathtub is on the left side, opposite the sinks. The shower and toilet are in separate rooms with glass doors. The toiletries are high-quality and of good standard, reflecting the hotel’s attention to detail.

The storage closet contains a safe, ironing board, and bathrobes, ensuring that guests have everything they need for a comfortable stay.

Bar / Restaurant

Breakfast is served in the restaurant, which is classically styled as an elegant buffet. Egg dishes are prepared à la carte and freshly made, offering a personalized touch to the meal. This level of service and quality of food is consistent with the hotel’s luxurious ambiance.

Additionally, there’s a bar offering drinks and light meals, perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring Dubai.

Pool

The pleasant pool area is located on the sixth floor, featuring a pool, pool bar, and ample space to relax. This is an ideal spot to enjoy the sun or take a refreshing dip, especially during Dubai’s hot months.

Fitness Center

The gym is well-equipped and offers enough variety for an extended workout. For fitness enthusiasts, this facility ensures that you can maintain your routine while traveling.

Check Out

Check-out was straightforward and friendly, with my luggage loaded directly into the vehicle. This efficient process allowed me to depart without any hassle, rounding off a smooth and enjoyable stay.
